Team Lead Anti-Financial Crime Operations (m/f/x)

You mentor and empower a team of AFC experts, fostering continuous professional growth, identifying coaching opportunities, and transferring your deep industry knowledge
You act as the primary escalation point for reviewing and triaging complex, high-risk transaction-based alerts and case investigations before routing them to the 2nd Line
You ensure operational excellence by taking full ownership of the QA framework, ensuring strict adherence to investigation standards and SLAs in a high-volume environment
You serve as the strategic liaison between 1st Line, 2nd Line, Product, Data, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance and to optimize workflows, tooling, and process automation
You continuously identify emerging money laundering, terrorist financing, and financial crime trends to proactively refine operational controls and investigation procedures

You have several years of experience in an Anti-Money-Laundering/Anti-Financial Crime related operational role within fintech, payments, banking, or a comparable environment
You bring a deep understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies, as well as other suspicious activities, and the operational controls required to effectively mitigate these risks
You have prior experience in people leadership and managing AFC Operations experts in a high-volume environment
You have proven ability to lead operational teams against clear SLAs, quality standards, and client outcome metrics while maintaining strong judgment under pressure
You are experienced in improving operational processes, documentation, QA frameworks, tooling, and automation in partnership with Product, Data, and Engineering
You have a strong sense of ownership and the ability to act as a credible escalation point for complex, ambiguous, or high-severity cases
You have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to align Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and client-facing teams around priorities and improvements
You have excellent communication skills in English and German to lead the team effectively
